2000 HAYDOCK 2001 2002 MELANERPE S FORMICIVORUS BLACK OAK HNHR 5 MAY 9:00 - No bird seen in a hole 16 MAY 15:30 - Bird in traditional (last years) nest hole 1 June 12:40 - 4 healthy babies; largest are 24g. 2001 26 JUNE 15:00 - Walt checked nest - Finds 4 eggs Incubated #① 25.7*19.6 ② 26.7*20.0 ③ 26.4*19.5 ④ 26.5*20.4. First egg (#①) probably not developing, but the others are developing. 3 July 8:50 - Checked nest for hatching. 4 babies One is a runt, about ½ the size of the others. They are (except for the runt) about 3 days old. 2002 31 MAY 12:50 - Walt checked nest and found 4 eggs Incubated - late incubation. ① 25.6 x 19.9 ② 24.0 x 19.2 ③ 25.9 x 20.1 ④ 24.5 x 20.2 5 June 10:15 - Walt checked nest for hatching. 2 babies, 2 eggs - one pupiny (making noise) Hatched today or yesterday. The 2nd egg also looks good and will probably hatch. 16 July 8:30 - No birds seen in a cavity 6 Aug 8:40 - No bird seen in a cavity
