Lgreen / orange 2 MAY. 10:00. Power struggle still not completely resolved? No evidence of a nest. 19 MAY. 11:15- Bird in hole. Lower side of enclosure Southwest tree of the 2 valley oaks on Fence line. Hole faces other tree (TONE) Opened. Found 9 eggs - 10 of which is a rent egg ① runt 18.75×14.6 ② 24.62×19.1 ③ 25.35 * 19.5 Early incubation ~ 3 days 19 JUNE 9:43- Banded the one nestling. A few acorns remaining. 2002 May 27 egg #4 26 × 20.4 mm #1 26.1 × 20.4 mm 4 eggs, including 1 runt egg (#1-3 numbered and measured by Walt - remeasured #4 to compare measurements) Found breeding & #3055 dead on ground at base of tree. Not obvious why shedded. No obvious wounds.
