2000 HAYDOCK 2001 2002 MELANERPE S FORMICIVORUS MACROBERTS HNHR 20 March 13:30. No birds seen. Plenty of acorns remaining. 2001 8 MAY 19:20 - Roost watch to determine which male breeder is incubating. When I arrived male was in cavity - He never left and I did not see another bird come to the cavity. Eventually he disappeared into the hole, apparently to spend the night. 24 MAY 19:20 - Roost watch. 65 m band on right (lower) leg seen clearly - entered hole at 19:42 - Assume this #2973 2002 6 June 19:30 - Roost watch. 3 w-dkblue / ? (R) entered hole. (assume this is 2999) About 10 min's later a second bird entered quickly - I did not got a chance to see the bands. 8 June 19:30 - Roost watch. 3 in hole when I arrived dk B/ [N] came to hole, but did not enter because 3 in hole was looking out. (2999?) rw(N) / Yellow (3327?) came and entered. (2 m older) M / Red-L blue (2973) Came and entered - 3 in hole now. - ?/? leaves - 2 stay and roostin hole
