Finds 5 eggs, incubated ① 27.5×18.0 Some acorns remaining in this nest tree (their new granary tree). 1 of the 5 eggs somewhat smaller; A runt egg?; Not developing; 21.3×14.3 15 MAY 14:50- Bird in hole. Walt checked hole. Finds 3 babies, about 8 days old. (eyes not open yet) 23 MAY 13:40 - Banded 3 healthy babies with Walt #32987-2989. A few acorn remaining 30ct 12:00- No acorns remaining. 8 Nov 14:15- Granary in this year's nest tree about ½ full with acorns; no acorns in old granary tree. 1999 24April 10:00- Some acorns in tree on ridge on [LA2 side of kintery, No evidence of a nest. 29 April 10:10- Bird in hole. Same cavity as last years nest 30April 14:50- Walt climbs and checks nest. Finds 4 eggs - Tag #288 ① 26.8×19.0 ② 27.0×18.6 Incubated, but not late incubation. 7 MAY 9:20- 3 babies and 1 egg (looks like it could hatch) (largest baby 6.5 grams, hatched last night?)
