HAYDOCK 99 2000 MECANERES FORMICIVORUS KEEP OUT 22 April 13:30 - Lots of acorns; no birds seen. 15 MAY. 14:10 - No birds seen 11 JUNE 13:40 Several birds seen flying about, but nobody seen in a hole. 21 JUNE 14:00 - Still no sign of a nest. 3 Oct 12:00 - Plenty of acorns from last year, plus a good number of new acorns. 8 Nov 13:30 - Granary about 3/4 full. 1999 24 April 10:25 - Plenty of acorns; no evidence of a nest. 29 April 10:40 - No evidence of a nest; heard birds on NW side of territory. Found some fairly nice new holes in V. oak on Hastings rear parking area 30 June 7:20 - Plenty of acorns remaining, No evidence of a second nest. 2000 30 March 15:09 - First time I have been here since granary was cut down. They do have a few acorns in V. oaks on Hastings side of territory. A few storage holes that are empty on KEEP OUT side of territory. (Snag to South of old granary & Oak to west of old granary.
