13:30 - Bird in a new hole! Finally they
probably have a nest. Hole is high up in
V. oak behind granary tree (from road) and
faces road.
JUNE12
14:00 - Yes they have a nest. Walt opened
hole to find 2 Babies ready to fledge. A
third fledgling, fledged as (what was
climbing tree. Banded the two babies
that remained in the nest, but now there
is an unbanded fledgling that is very
unhappy and flying about without bands.

12:00 - Some acorns from last year, plus new
a few new acorns from this year.
6 Nov
1342 Granary a little less than ½ full.

10:35 - Bird in hole!!. Some acorn stores.
Same hole as last years nest. Walt climbed
tree and checked. Finds 4 eggs. 1 of 4
is a runt egg!! (Only 1 ♀ breeder in group)
Early incubation. ① 25.0 x 18.2
② 25.1 x 18.2 ③ (Runt) 18.3 x 14.5
Placed tag #984 at post hole - took nest
measurements.

3:11:00 - 3 babies hatched this morning. Still
runt egg & 4 more unhatched.
