98 HAYDOCK 99 2000 MELANERPEs FORMICIVORUS Black oak HNHR 22 Apr 18:03- No birds seen, but still a finch effect group. 27 May 13:00- Banded 4 babies with #17. #is 2983-2986. Plenty of acorns remaining. ~30ct 12:00- A few acorns remaining from last year. & Nov 1:35- Granary must full with new acorns 1999 14 April 7:00- No birds seen in hole; no sign of resting. 23 April 9:50- No evidence of nesting. Some acorns, but mostly old remaining stells from prior year. 29 April 10:00- No evidence of a nest; No birds seen 22 May 14:50- Bird in hole; Same hole as last year, 24 May 17:00- 3 eggs in hole - early incubation → 26.1 × 19.35 June 10:00- 3 babies - about 10g-12g - #2 days old. 2000 30 MARCH 16:00- Plenty of acorns remaining, but scattered about in granary tree and rest tree. No evidence of a nest. No birds seen. 12 April 12:10- No birds seen in a hole. 2 birds in traditional nest tree 29 April - 18:20- Checked traditional (last years) cavity - empty (Walt saw bird in this hole yesterday)
