Mid-to-late incubation D 25.5 x 20.3 MAY 29 14:00- 6 babies banded, including bird #3000 ID's 3000-3005. plenty of acorns remaining. 1999 20 April 11:20- Bird may have been in upper hole in tree with many holes. 19 MAY 11:10- 7 eggs in new hole. Same tree as last year, but a higher hole on inside branch hole faces towards center of tree 28 MAY 8:00- Nest empty- Some grass inside hole suggesting that a Starling is starting to use hole now. 1 July 7:30- Banded 4 nestlings with Walt. Plenty of acorns remaining.
