98 HAYDOCK MELANERPEs FORMICIVORUS HAY-BLOM HNHR 15 MAY 10:30- No birds seen in a hole. 21 MAY 11:30- Bird in hole. 3 eggs-fresh (rool) so not yet under incubation. Ø 26.2 x 19.5 Check again for clutch size. 23 MAY 12:00 Bird in hole 4 eggs, so first Egg date is 23 MAY. 4 JUNE 12:10 - 4 babies, so they all hatched. Largest one 10g. (Hatched 2 June). 1999 6 April 10:15- No birds seen. No evidence of a nest 26 MAY 8:43- No evidence of a nest-no birds on a hide Observed from 8:45-9:15 . Several birds seen in last years nest tree (V. Ook on NE side of territory). 26 Jue 7:05 - Some acorns remaining. Still no evidence at a nest.
