The Farlow Herbarium has copies of edition 1 and edition 2 of Century I. Both editions have the same inventory of taxa associated with each numbered slide, but with respect to localities slide numbers 27 and 49 differ in the two editions: no. 27, ed. 1 ("Tynemouth, Angl."), ed. 2 ("Sussex, Anglia"); no. 49, ed. 1 ("Vogesus, Gallia"), ed. 2 ("Ins. Faero"). All references to this Eulenstein set in the indexes are to edition 1, unless edition 2 is explicitly indicated. Information from edition 2 has been entered solely when it differs from that in edition 1. I have not seen a complete set of the second century (no. 101-[200?]). The Farlow Herbarium has 23 slides from this century: 103, 104, 109, 112, 115, 118, 119, 129, 132, 134, 136, 137, 141, 145, 146, 151, 156, 159, 164, 178, 180, and 198. Additionally, I have seen in the Feibiger Collection (FC) at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia six other numbers from this century and have included them in this index: 106 (FC 3695), 108 (FC 3094, 3098), 116 (FC 3693), 149 (FC 3698), 150 (FC 3692) and 176 (FC 3691). The second-century slides bear a coverglass rimmed with a circular metal ring bearing the impression "Th. Eulenstein / Dresden / Gold Medaille / St. Petersburg 1869."
