Washington to Sloasby NY Aug 27. with a[illegible] & [illegible] Left at 9. went by our old route by Court square It was dark before we got to Suffern Went on to Sloasby and stopped at Mrs. Taylors.

Aug 28 Benn Mr Bury 7.30 went on to even 9 Hartford and Worcester at the Library of the Antiquarian Society called on Mr Wall and had a nice talk with them, He hopes that I could publish my paper in the 9 Martin Captivity Went by way J Uthman at church with Mary came. The very kindly took me with to his home in Saco, and showed me his great Callioleni & historical corps, including thousands. He had a remarkable system of Safe Keeping the Library Down, long vaults with combination locks down. He has made a specimen 1 subscription somewhere. He is an expert in this work & found very new Elizabeth (Hancock). But he had perfect copies & Some doubtful ones This went to Ashfield for the night

Left 3. to April took me to the elevator, where I got a Train for New York. The Colonel at Pooler visited the Bond Wall Plant in the afternoon also Dr. Thursday, who left me there. Later I spent the evening at Dr. H. and met his daughter and for a time, and then some, all grown They took me to the train and I changed a New York to the Train for Washington, D.C. at 12 o'clock.

Sat Oct 19 Left Wisthgh at Forks for the 8.00 . went by the Duggishamn Trase! with me was Mrs Prett, Bruce Horpful, and allan Duvall, driving not to Biffalls about 7.30 and called at Margery and Maurice who had been over for Romney. Sunday On 20 Buffalo to Toronto Maurice & Maurice Camper. Shady after 10 Not to go back we went to this old Place, as met the people who bought it. Saw Joe Thine.
