November 26, 1917 The weather continued balmy and the sea smooth. The passengers remained quite inactive, apparently still recovering from Honolulu exertions. November 27, 1917 A fancy dress ball kept us amused most of the night. We were a gay party and represented hula girls, school girls, Koreans, Japanese, Chinese Mandarins, sailors, soldiers, clowns, perrots etc. We assembled masked before dinner and the many disguises were difficult to detect. Before, the dance, we had 2 flashlight photos taken. November 28, 1917 Another quiet day. Weather calm but growing cooler. November 29, 1917 Thanksgiving. The turkey dinner was served with decorations, paper streamers, caps, balloons etc.
