Heller returned from the Expedition by himself. This Diary starts in Shanghai. Heller
then proceeded to Peking, Seoul, Yokohama, Tokyo, Honolulu, San Francisco,
Chicago, and finally returned to his office at the American Museum of Natural
History in New York City. His observations en route are recorded in this Diary.

pages of text in Heller's writing, and 12 pages of various names and addresses.
