6.7 The train reached N.Y. at 6 P.M., 2 hours late. I called up Mrs. Akeley & found that her hubby was in his camera shop working. I went down at 9 P.M., & found him with a new camera, which he has standardized it is now building for the U.S. gov't. for aviation service. He's putting in all his time on the camera. After dinner with him I betook myself to a hotel. I tried the Embankment Manhattan without success & then got a room in the Belmond
