5) Becker who is Ozgord's assist- and the Spartans sign in St. showed me around the Natural Department. Above between the Exhibits has found only a few new bird groups, They have an oil bird group from Columbia. The Anthropology dept. has its floor space stacked full cases so thickly that they purchase another that cannot be seen. At noon I took lunch with Mr. Lamper head of Anthropology at Marshall Fields restaurant on 1st floor. Lamper has been in Tibet west of Tachin lee on the Thassa road but was turned back by the Chinese govt. He is a Tibetan scholar & talks the language.
