S. Calif. & East Appl. Lst. B. Thorne last June, Took the Golden State Limited at Colton at 1:30 P.M., The weather was warm & dusty. We passed out of the valley thru San Gorgonio Pass, no snow seen visible on the high San Bern. San Jacinto Mtns. At dusk we reached Salt Sea & skirted its margin. It is a permanent body of water now but has no vegetable growth near the shore or on the surface. It has every appearance of being only a few months old. T
