Being quite broke I took the ellitude for Tilsleys this morning Called on Nolan Morrison new Embassador to Japan. His secretary Mrs. Spencer met me + was very cordial. He is an acquaintance of Percy Moderas, Gov. Harrison & other Philadelphia Sportsmen from which town he comes. The Minister Mr. Norris, finally endorsed a check for $200.00 after looking over T. Rio Letter but was not at all pleased about it + wanted to know whether a smaller amount would not do as if he were actually going to be defrauded out of the money.
