I found the Grand Hotel full of guests but finally got a room at 7 P.M. there. Wov had written me letters from Hovdon in his quaint English about the chance of going to America with Hartman. Miss Hedger I learned at Coobs had left Yokohama last spring for her home in Ohio. Miss Mary could not locate from any source I knew B. The Hongkong Shanghai Bank took any Peking currency at 1.35 to the yen which was decidedly better than the 1:10 of Chosen Banks.
