The hillsides were clothed in dried grass & herbs. Some bleached during the summer, In Flower + Clematis. Kris were clean in seed. There were plenty of sheep & a few goats visible, but nowhere was the grass close cropped by cattle. There is still much room for cattle. Sprawling Willows lined the roads + the crops grown were turnips, cabbages, millet & beans. We returned to Pelsing at dark.
