Arrive to attempt captural of B♀ (1609) for removal experiment / to produce group with co-breedings ♂♂. 2473 - enters hole/incubates several times. ♀ enters. - probably 2472- Capture 2472 - take blood; paint with blue, 1609 Never entered. 17:00- End attempt to capture 1609. Checked nest - 4 eggs 6 MAY 3:40 - Arrive to try to capture B♀ (1609) again, 8 May 11:30 - Arrive to observe power struggle. Walt reports 3 WANTE ♀'s H's are here - Not in main granary (next Adj. tree). Both SHIL and West gate helper females have been seen, (See Walts notes). (SHIL in granary) 12:15 - I move to observe & attempt to ID birds in tree along stream located about 40m downhill from granary. Little activity in this tree; there is a board there but I have not been able to identify it. 1100 - SHIL birds still in control of granary observe blue-orange-blue [2380] 2:20 - The situation is the same as early today. SHIL ♀'s have main granary tree. Identified 6 of 8 helper ♀'s from that group. (see SHIL list) Possible that all 8 are here. WCAT ♀'s (3) are
