No acorns, but I did not check careful (I did not go over to granary) 20 April 12:15 - No birds seen. 2 May 11:00 - Nobody seen in a hole 5 May 9:45 - Nobody seen in a hole 14 May 12:45 - Nobody seen in a hole 20 May 19:10 - Nobody seen in a hole; no birds heard while doing roost watch at PHOBO. 19 July 7:45 - No birds seen. No acorns remaining 16 August 10:00 No bird seen. 1997 12 April 10:30 - Started obs. to see if they are mate guarding. 12:00 - Ended obs. Birds seem to be spending time towards LAZ, but I can't see very well from my vantage point. Possible nest in tree on ridge leading from Bianca to LAZ. 18 April 8:30 - There are babies. In above tree. Hole too difficult to get to/open without ladder (i.e. I climbed up and started to open the hole, but the dead limbs near broke - I heard a loud crack and quickly got back down) 21 April - Walt opens hole (using gobbler) to check on babies. 10 June 11:00 - No acorns in traditional @granary, but some acorns remaining in new granary in this year's nest tree. 7 July 9:30 - Still some acorns in nesttree of this year.
