I hope to do mate-guarding obs. on this group after. removing the 1 nestling they now have, thereby forcing a renesting attempt. Caught 2428 replaced L-pink bands w/ L pink-Black → m L-pink-black RED L-pink-black painted green 9 April 13:15 - Caught 2056 painted him blue Removed nestling and placed it in Cavities nest. placed split red-black band on left leg. Took a little bit of blood. Bird # → 2744 24th 22 April 9:50 - Bird in hole - Same hole as previous nest that nestling was removed from. 13:30 - Chaked nest - 6 eggs, including 1 runt egg. (1) 20.15 x 15.3 (2) 24.8 x 20.5 4 May 14:30 - 3 babies 18-23g; 3 eggs (including runt) removed from nest. All Eggs seem to have not developed at all. July 6 16:30 - 5 big nestlings. Largest one 57g smallest one 36 g. All look healthy. July 6 July 15 14:00 - Banded 5 nestlings 41-67g, but healthy #s 2934-2938.
