HNHR 6 June 15:00 Checked holes in main nest tree-no birds seen. 12 June 19:30 Walt sets flap type ambush on upper not hole of main tree, Unfortunately they don't go to roost in this hole 14 June 14:45 Walt fixed ambush in position to let birds adjust to its presence. 23 June 19:30 - Roost watch. 1 bird may have used nest hole- went to roost late-difficult to Observe 14 July 19:30 Roost Watch. @ with Laura- Unable to see where they roosted 17 July 19:30 Roost watch-unable to determine where they roosted -no birds seen. 11 Aug 19:30 - Roost watch. Did not see any birds go in a hole; but used flashlight to find a bird looking out of a hole at the top of a broken off limb (only about 20cm in diameter) in forest to Southot nest tree. 15 Aug 19:35 - Roost Watch- 3 birds leave hole - 1 returns - So could be 3 birds in hole - will try ambush (with pole) 16 Aug 5:00 - Ambush works, but only 1 bird in hole [2443] 17 Aug 19:15 - Mike reports 2 birds go in hole to SW of grammy tree. Will try pole ambush 18 Aug 5:00 - Ambush successful, but both birds banded. [2083], [2440] - bled/took DNA from both. 24 Aug 5:00 - Ambush again at the same hole. (Mike reported that 3-4 birds went in last night) Caught 3 birds [2082], [2443], [2567]- Red/Blue (blue-Red) m / Red.
