No birds seen in a hole. 16 August No birds seen in a hole. *1997* 3April 15:25- No birds seen in a hole. Lots of acorns 14April 13:00- No birds seen in a hole 21April 11:30- checked holes - Nobody seen in a hole 4 MAY 10:00- Bird flies from new hole in granary tree; Hole is located on down hill side of tree in smallish downward running branch and the hole faces the road. Hear babies begging when bird leaves!! 6MAY 9:30- Open hole indicated above. Found 2 babies at 31p49g + 3 unhatched eggs ① 27.0 x 19.1 15MAY Banded 2 babies Very small, likely that they were not 21 days old as predicted from weightson Gmor- Both healthy & well fed. 10 June 9:30- Bird in hole- Likely 2nd nest. Lower hole in dead snag that requires loft ladder. 12 June 11:00 3 babies. Largest one 29g. All look healthy and about the same size, 13June 17:00- Placed the 2 abandoned babies from RL in nest - both have hatchling bands. 7 July 10:10- Nobody seen in a hole. Still plenty of acorns
