MAY 16 19:00 - Checked to see if they looked - yes - hear nestlings;
saw several birds around WLP
MAY 27 13:00 - Set-up ambush (bull in place for 1st week) to
attempt catching of breeder males for painting.
They have 4 healthy looking nestlings.

15:00 - Ended attempt at capturing males
MAY 22 9:10 - Set ambush again to catch more males for
painting.
Caught #1757 - took blood, plasma, painted him brown.
14:30 - Caught 2056 - blood, painted him blue
Removed all 4 nestlings to force another
nesting attempt (hopefully). Nestlings placed in
foster nests - 2 at CUMBERT and 2 at LAZ.
This group is interesting for mate guarding observations
because there are at least 3 breeding males
(possibly 6) and they are a group of co-breeders
composed of a fathers with his sons of varying
ages.
MAY 25 8:00 - Preliminary observations for mate guarding to
get familiar with birds - Observed for 1 hr and
only saw 4 birds - The breeder female #
and the 3 painted males. Brown-# 1757
Green-#2428 and Blue-# 2056. All birds
fly catching in "PLAQUE" tree. Difficult to tell if
male guarding yet - but they were together all the time.
