28Aug 19:00 Roost watch. phantom of black oaks
living up to their name. Mike and I watched
for them in trees that were once part of Blackoak
We saw and heard nothing. Mary reports the
same from her observations at the roost hole.
29Aug 19:00 Yet another roost watch results in negative
data - where 'o' where is the phantom, of black oak

31 MAR 11:58- Saw a few birds. No bird seen in a hole.
Lots of acorns stored (in lower Black Oak-trr)
21 April 3:45- Checked holes in southern tree (last
years late nest). Nobody seen,
3 May 11:00 - Birds seen in tree, but nobody seen in
a hole.
11 may 10:10-12:10- Observed for nesting activity-
never saw anybody. Heard somebody to SE of
nest tree.
30 MAY (pm) 1 2 babies, 2 eggs. Oldest baby hatched
(yesterday)? - Set up ambush to catch NOBA.
2 JUNE 15:30- Attempt to catch NOBA(s). Reset
ambush. Yes - caught NOBA #1 and 2454. #
Took blood & banded NOBA #2625 yellow/blue / yellow/blue.
8 JUNE 15:00- Another try to make sure there is not another
NOBA bird here.... (green-blue) Blue? or not
Blue-yellow(N)? (Order). on lots
