97 HAYDOCK MELANERPE FORMICIUROS Pipeline. 21 April 09:30 - Opened new hole in dead sycamore by stream. 2 eggs - ① 26.0 × 19.3. 30 April 12:30 5 eggs now, so last egg date is 24 April. 11 May 16:15 3 babies 38-42g, 1 egg (inertile) 30 June 7:00 - No birds seen in any holes. Some acorns remaining in granary. 7 July 3 eggs 25.1 × 18.7 hole in granary tree 16:45 14 July 10:00 - 2 babies ~7g + 1 dead (3g). Took tissue from dead baby (#2930) 4 Aug. 15:00 - Banded and bled 2 babies with Erin. They weighed 45 and 70g. The 45g nestling looked and sounded pretty pathetic, but perhaps will make it to fledging after his/her big brother/sister fledges and stops bullying him/her. A few acorns still remaining.
