96 J. HAYDOCK MELANERPEs FORMICIVORUS GATE HNHR April 7 18:15 - Checked holes in Sycamoe by Martin road. No birds seen in a hole. April 11 13:15 - Checked holes in tree at stop sign. Nobody seen. No acorns remaining in granary. April 12 17:00 - Put up two feeders. 1 in granary, next to stop sign. The other in nearly dead tree in open field across stream. (School Hill West is control non-supplemented group). MAY 31 12:30 - BANDER 4 nestlings with WALT. August 12 9:20 - Hear screaming babies in hole. Walte checked and finds 2 nestlings that are about 14 days old. August 14 9:30 - Climbed up tree to check on nestlings and to show them to my family (Chris, Laurel, Grahama and mom). Still 2 healthy nestlings.
