No good acorns (only old shells) 17 April 17:00 - Checked Put up one feeder in tree above nest tree (the one that you can get to by walking a branch). After putting up this feeder, I noticed a bird in the nest hole (of the above nest tree) so I decided to wait before putting the other feeder up. 18 April 13:00 - Checked nest - nothing inside. No bird seen when I arrived. Lisa put up Feeder in this tree. (2nd feeder for group), 1 19 April 15:00 Checked feeders. One nearly full; the other empty. 23 MAY 15:10. Bird in hole - Last years nest hole, Wolt chaked. Eggs: ① 24.1 x 20.4 ② 24.1 x 20.3 ③ 23.1 x 19.4 ④ (Eggs numbered) 24 MAY 6:40 - Obs. for egg laying (on tape) 4th egg laid by 1533 27 MAY 15:15 - Bird in hole. ④ 24.5 x 20.25 Still 4 eggs: 5 JUNE 11:15 - Still not hatched. (11d after LED was June 4) Eggs look odd.- Rather than a pure white appearance they are somewhat blotching coloring. 6 JUNE 19:20 - Arrive to see if anyone is brooding eggs through the night. Nobody seen entering hole by 20:00 Possible that bird was in hole already, but I doubt it 7 JUNE 8:00 - Bird in hole when I arrived. Still no hatching - Took egg #1. Placed egg in incubator in LAB.
