Heard one bird as it entered territory. 21 April Nobody seen in a hole 12 August 7:00 - No birds seen or heard. No new acorns in granary. * 1997 * 3 April 10:15 - Checked holes in granary tree and in tree above granary tree - No birds seen 10 April 17:30 - Open 2 holes in tree up canon from granary tree - found 2 eggs. 15 April 11:30 - 4 eggs - ① 26.1 X 19.1 24 April 14:20 - 3 babies, leggy. largest baby 11.0g. Not sure if egg will hatch or not - check again. 26 April 12:30 - Still one egg remaining - took from nest. 16 June 10:15 - Bird in hole ~2 feet below hole for 1st spring nest this year. 19 June 9:00 - 4 babies 3.5-7.0g. No eggs remaining Lots of acorns remaining 9 July 11:10 - 3 babies. Fairly small, but healthy.
