94 JOSEPH HAYDOCK 95 MELANERPEs FORMICIVORUS BUCKEYE HNHR 13 July 1:30 checked holes in 3 trees (near platform, up hill from platform and to South). Nobody seen in a hole. Some stones remaining. 4 Aug. 19:30 Roost watch-at least 3 birds roost in Buckeye tree, two in small hole on N side of tree, the other in hole with ambush. 8 Aug 16:30 reset Walt reset ambush in dead tree, set pole in alternate hole (N side of tree) to prevent than from entering. 19:30- Two birds seen going into hole w/ ambush. 9 Aug 4:45. Walt reports 2 birds in hole. Caught 2173 and 2091 1995 April 2 18:40 - checked holes in big dead tree- Nobody seen looking out. April 10 16:30 checked holes in granary tree and upper roost tree. No birds seen. Lots of acorns in granary tree. April 13 19:30 Roost watch with Jim. Jim saw 1 bird roost in granary tree. (NE side) I observed tree up hill from granary tree. Several birds in area at roost time. None seen to enter either hole in tree. Possible that there is a hole they used in [illegible] tree just below this (Very large valley oak)
