Difficult but possible to reach eggs Watt cut an access hole to make easier. 16 April 18:30. Roost Watch. (Eggs removed by Watt) 5 (?) birds in hole in roost tree located East of main granery tree. Difficult to get accurate count because birds went in/out/in/etc. 17 April. Attempted mate guarding watch. Observed the following birds in main granery: 8:20 orange-blue/m [1616] ; 8:24 red/m [2026] 8:24 2026 chase ?? around twice and out of granery tree. 8:40 m/dgreen black/? [2172] 8:42 3 ind's chase ?? from granery. 8:45 orange-blue/m ?/? [1616] 9:16 2026, 2172, 1616 Spend most of the time in the main granery, but neither male 1616 or 2172 follows female 2026 when she leaves granary tree. 9:45 For example: 2026 flies from granary tree ~1min later 2172 follows. Another time 2026 flies - nobody follow within two minutes. 10:00 red-green [E4-blue] [2038] 10:20 D-blue/m [2295] 10:41 3 or 4 birds chase ?? from granary tree. 10:50 2026 leaves MG (= main granery); nobody follows within 1min. 11:04 2026 leaves MG; nobody follows within 1min. 11:05-10 Birds BB, PP visit nest hole several times. Form's wood chips.
