95 HAYDOCK 96 MELANERES FORMICIVORUS Los Arbolitos HNHR 10 AUG - 17:00 - Checked holes - nobody seen in a hole - 3 birds seen in granary (located towards CUGANDE). No acorns remaining in granary 20 Sept 10:45 - One bird seen on entering cavity. A few new acorns in granary tree. 1996 April 2 2:15 - No birds seen. No acorns in granary located towards dirt road. April 6 6:45 - Roost watch. Birds use last year's nest hole. April 7 4:45 - Came to set ambush to catch (867). Found her dead in cavity. She must have died within the last few days. So probably I did not see 2 birds enter roost on April 6. April 21 Nobody seen in a hole. (12 August) 7:30 - No birds seen or heard. No new acorns in granary. 22 August 10:45 - 4 eggs, incubated. ① 25.4 x 18.0 August 12:30 - 3 nestlings 14, 15.5 and 11g 4 Sept 11:30 - Caught unbanded ♀ at nest. #2721 Mauve-Yellow / Yellow-Mauve 19 Sept 9:00 - Arrive to band babies.
