Again, as I recall from previous obs (29 April-6 May), I saw some aggression between two birds. One bird chased the other briefly. I have never been able to ID either of the individuals involved, but I wonder if these birds are the breeder male etc (1808) chasing a former helper male (2311 or 2312), and keeping them away from the new breeders 9's—and making it so that I have not been able to ID either 2311 or 2312 since before 29 April. 14 May 9:15 6 eggs, 4 in hole when I arrived ① 25.5x19.1 ③ 24.2x18.7 ⑤ 21.2x17.2 ② 24.7x20.5 ④ 23.5x19.8 ⑥ 23.8x19.7 14 Aug 10:15—check holes—nobody seen; a few stores of acorns remaining 1995 1 April 11:05—lots of stores—Saco several birds; nobody in a hole. 17 April 11:30—checked holes—Nobody seen. 27 April Attempted to check hole in tree located on W side of pond. Unable to climb—too much poison oak, and unable to throw string over high enough branch. 6 MAY 12:15—8 eggs, warm, early Inc. ① 25.6x20.2
