Aug 14 The night was cool and windy but the morning pleasant. The birds of Cony and Woodchuck, quoted as in the morning as well as many of the above mentioned birds. Altho, an interesting zonal change takes place there seems to be a lack of bird life. The country is dry, rocky and the depth and white stone account partly for this.
