Along Woods Creek
there were a great many
Angels. We camped at
about 1000' in a timbered
meadow. A Parcupine had
pretty thoroughly chewed
the trees nearby. All
the forest was Turnback.
At night we heard
the Scissors bark - even
without moonlight.
Aug
23.
Fri/ As we started out
through the timber we
flushed a fine old
cock grouse - the first
prove of the birds. Later
we flushed a second
grouse. This was the
best meadow yet for
the birds. Probably
a general house might
have been found here.
