at Mombasa
April 18th, 1929
Arrived about 10:00 this
from 10. Westshore
and after lunch and
took a drive around
for a hr. The Country
was interesting and pretty
banana & coconut palms
were in evidence especially
the latter. We visited
the public market and
I was very much surprised
as to how clean it was
very few flies. We had
somewhat of a row
with the taxi driver who
tried to collect double fare.
We left Mombasa at
about 5:17:30
