31 & 31 Days JULY & AUGUST 1959 7th & 8th Months FAIR - A LOVELY BLUE DAY 30 THURSDAY 241-154 MT. W., PENGAGL CREEK Our last day in camp + a busy one packing up, burned lamp in tent all day to clear pinning boards of specimens. Wrapped all skins + they just fill my 2 knockdown boxes. John + I wrapped herbs this p.m. - again, 2 full containers. Len reached the 1000 mark. 1010 for the mountain. I have over 800 mammals for Mt.W. Of course this includes a lot of R. Nigbe but 35 species are represented; and there are fine series of certain species (e.g., Antechinus, Pogonomelomys, Eudromicia, several Melomys and, best of all, Neo Hydromys + Pseudohydromys). A fine collection of herbs also, about 800 in all. Tobram is to be my #2 mammal boy. Hetana goes to Kim 31 FRIDAY 212-153 MT.W. PENGAGL CR.
