Saturday Aug 2. To Boston Spent most of the afternoon at the river clearing away the logs. Alfred helped me cut the big logs. We found many Caddisworms on sticks at the bottom. Decided to take the 5:01 Train for Boston so picked up and Alfred both me by the train. Mayorris and Evelyn had been away all day at an auction, and arrived at the station with the children at 10 to 3; so I said goodbye to all of them at once. The ride to Boston was warm but not excessively uncomfortable. Got there at 5:52 a.m. after a lunch got the 9:30 for N. Woburn. Found most of the family in bed. Hub married get up as we visited awhile - all well.
