Dec 6. 1928. Washington D.C. Attended the Open session of the Advisory Board at The Cosmos Club. There were present of the Board the following: Pearson, Forbush, W.S. Adams Burnham, Boots Anderson Clapp W.S. Finley, Clark McAdams Marshall McLean, T.N. Marlowe Lee Miller, Dunn, Ralston, R.E. Palmer H.F. Stone, formerly of the Biological Survey advocated a short Open season on all Shortbills on the grounds that they had increased. Adams, Forbush and Pearson spoke briefly against this Stone in answer to a question said that the original time on Shortbills was not necessary Wudseen says that there seemed to be never shotbills than at any time since 1909 but did not advocate an open season on them. Judge Erwin spoke on the Open season on deer in Alabama, especially for southern Alabama. He said that it was too hot in September to hunt does, or for them to
