Sunday Oct 14. 1928 We drove out to Clifton Sta. Va. in the new car. Got to the Richmond about 1:30 at after eating lunch in the orchard drove to the Boats. When we met Mr & Mrs Dovah, and Catherine, Hazel, Sam and They are all interested in nature as well life and have made a refuge of their Farm of about 400 acres. They raise goats, sheep, and all kinds of poultry. We took a walk down to Bell. Run to the same point when I went with Dr Wetmore a couple of summers ago. The day was overcast and just comfortable, and The autumn woods were glorious. We left about dusk, and for home in good time.
