Tuesday July 31. We were up early and after breakfast got Stoke to climb Mt. Alfret-Norman Mrs. Strothill and myself went by the Trail, Mrs. alfret, Grettel and Mrs. Pretty by Tram. We got nearly at Lovors start and the Tram passed us near the Halfway House. We saw very few birds, juncoes and white throats being the most conspicuous. The flowers were pretty, will grow. Beth was up on the summit a flor Mt. Arens, Household, Potentilla triauphidata, at Mt. cranberry. m fruits Cornus canadensis in fruit at base, but in flour at and above Cumberland.
