Feb 14, 1928
Washington St
as I came out from the Dept
about 5 Pm. The rain which had
been falling heavily, had just ceased
and the sun was shining below
dark weed clouds. With such
a quantity of water on all the
branches it was running down on
the branches, and they seemed all
covered with water. The low hills
bright now in there made their
look exactly as if coated with
a thin film of ice, as was
very beautiful.
Feb 19. Sunday.
Went up to K. in the late afternoon.
Took a couple of Dromognetta fucens
and several spring frogs
from the bottom of springs
went to Scotts and had
supper with them. Met
Mrs Johnson an English
lady who was staying with
them a day or two.
Took the 7:30 car home
from Jackson.
