Mattie York Preble and her sister
Emmie was in town. In the afternoon
we lost Mattie (Emmie was ill)
up to the place - as she had
changed her plews and had
left back some than we
swept. We could stay only
a few minutes. The funny
violetts and the Azalea came
out and I gave Mattie
some plants of the violet.
