Monday March 11 To Bierers The day was stormy. We went down to the Ranger station and stopped for dinner. A few elk were all along the red hills as usual. In the afternoon we went down to von Bierers. There were a good many elk on both sides, and several bulls were right about Bierers. He said that several moose had been through the corn bottoms just below his place, and that he had seen them a few days before.
