Friday July 23. Wadon Had a bath with a trapper and prospector named Gibbs. He says there are a few specimens near the mouth of the river. Cauliflower are very scarce. The hen seen only 4 or 5 in the past four weeks. Caught a Reithrodontomys in the hay field and two [illegible]. Saturday July 24 Form up traps and prepared Specimens: Fork Perdipus, Crog- Thallion, Peronopus, & Feuroma Left after dinner and down up the river a few miles. Thought I going about 10 miles but to investigate a case but changed my mind, and camped about 5 miles from Wadon.
