We ascended rather rapidly and at about 600 feet descended into a very deep valley canyon and went down very rapidly. About the middle of the afternoon at about 400 feet I passed a small breeding colony of what [illegible] swifts. Soon after a high cliff which had formed the Canyon gorge way to valley and hills. and the valley held much pressure. Mr. Cameront into the Onychomys alley at Holeck, but was about 5 miles below Watson. Camped at Watson about 300 feet
