July 16 To Walrus Island Left in Paws on the Tahoma at 9 am. The day was calm and only slighty cloudy. We arrived at Walrus I about 12 and went ashore about 1 after dinner. We saw almost incredible number of Calip Mice meeting near all our Islands along the Bracket, but mainly on the higher part of the Island over number of White Puffins. The Sakaricinus was gulls from mornin on the upper group. Drifted with them with a few Terns and gulls a few Black Lipped Kutterhals more on the clifffs and a few Common from a distant Pingo. The latter were watched. The Gulls also were just hatching or had just come up to about two or three weeks old. Many very old Stellar Gannets were among the breeders. One of the men of the cutter picked up a bird who barked above him. July 17 The day was cold with some rain. In the morning we counted harems on Kitovi with the following results. Kitovi Coh 7-8 3 3 dolls " 10 10 balls " 15 15 2.2uttle " 11 9 4 + 12 hatch. " 13 4 " 14 5 (58-5) " 15 3 Amphitrite 5- 58 harems on Lukanius 39 harems one quitter (3 quitters) (39-1) In the afternoon we counted Klobots Penguins & Sheep.
