INSTRUCTIONS.
Every officer or other employee of the Department of Agriculture conducting
work while traveling will, so far as practicable, keep a diary in which will be
recorded, under an appropriate date entry, a concise statement of all important
matters pertaining to such work and also of any general matters that may be of
interest to the Department.
This diary will be retained by the official preparing same, but will be subject
to call by the administrative officers of the Department, including the disbursing
officer, at any time.
When this book is filed another may be secured by application to the chief of
your Bureau or to the disbursing officer of the Department.
James Wilson
