Monday Sept 29 Head Falls Creek Another rainy evening day. Mrs Cross retired to evening. Tommy killed Rocking Gailin brought back 3 mudcats Are prepared to start on tomorrow Mrs Cross saw ground squirrels Tired, coming over. Tuesday Sept 30 8 miles. RAV We left about noon from Barrangal to shoot a young goat for meat. The went unavoidably into the creek and after about 4 miles came out into a beautiful open flat Saw a red fox, occurred on + against many plump kangaroos collecting 2. This carried a little ridge & Skeena water. So we went down through the scenic bascain to the other valley we saw a good sized male kangaroo on the opposite side of the valley from ours, shot here Skeena. Saw 4 more came here. Rain I know in latter part of afternoon, all very cold in evening. Saw chipmunk at head of Lake at camp. Many ground squirrels. Lobo seen at head of Creek. But none out.
